Why can’t golfers use golf carts in tournaments?

Question by Randalyn~♥: Why can’t golfers use golf carts in tournaments?
Okay, so i’ve looked on google for an answer and can’t find it anywhere. Could someone PLEASE enlighten me? I feel like if we used golf carts we would get done faster and we wouldn’t get as tired which in turn would improve our performance. So what’s the deal? Thanks!=)

Because golf is a walking game. Its a test of endurance as well as a test of skill.
