Ford’s popular fuel-saving technology that automatically shuts off the engine when the vehicle comes to a stop — a feature found today on the Ford Fusion Hybrid and Ford Escape Hybrid and some Ford cars in Europe — will soon be added to conventional cars, crossovers and SUVs in North America. Ford’s patented new Auto Start-Stop system for gasoline engines will improve fuel economy for most drivers by at least 4 percent. The gain can be as high as 10 percent for some drivers, depending on vehicle size and usage. It can also reduce tailpipe emissions to zero while the vehicle is stationary or waiting at a stoplight. Ford has more than 244 patents for its Auto Start-Stop technology and will showcase the feature on a concept in January at the North American International Auto Show. Auto Start-Stop is the latest example of Ford moving aggressively to bring affordable advanced fuel-saving technologies to all customers. Ford has already introduced electric power steering, dual-clutch PowerShift six-speed transmissions and other fuel-saving features as part of the company’s commitment to lead or be among the leaders in fuel economy in every segment. You know with the air conditioning lights a stick pedals seat covers wheel cover a new moter and if I take the cover off the go cart how do I make a new one also will I need a better motor and wheels also I want it to have a radio with speakers and also finally I want custom doors on it along with a new paint job and a built in phone for calling how do I put that into a golf cart?

Question by sek: Good Electric Golf Carts?
Im looking to buy a golf cart for my neighbor hood just so me and my friends can have some fun in it. I would like it to be electric and pretty fast but nothing to major. Please reccomend some good brands/

Electric golf carts are the slowest and don’t do good up hills. Yamaha makes good quality carts. Gas and electric. But if it’s the noise of a gas cart that concerns you– don’t worry about it. They are super quiet now and have more serious power than electric and you can modify them to get more power whereas once you buy an electric one you’re stuck with what you got. But Yamaha makes good stuff for fair prices.

I have been trojon 105s, I have been told exide, and among others. Are any of you out there a electric golf cart owner and have a good answer? I have an ezgo 2001 txt 36volt and getting ready to buy all new batteries. What should i look for?
