Golf Cart Rims
Did you know that you can buy golf cart rims online? You can. Something else you may not know is that by shopping online you get not only great prices but a huge selection to choose from. With so much going for online shopping, why would anyone shop elsewhere? But there are some issues you need to be aware of before you order those brand golf cart rims and this article looks at a few of those.
Like anything else, buying golf cart rims requires a bit of homework before you place your order. At a minimum, you want to know what size you need. The two most common sizes are 10X7 and 10X8. There is also the smaller 10X6. If you are not sure what size you need, dig out your owner’s manual and see if it is not listed there. Normally, you will find a page dedicated to listing the sizes of various parts. If you cannot find the size, you will need to move on to step two.
The next best place to look is at the manufacturer’s website. Make a note of your make and model as you will need this when you look up the size of your particular golf cart rims. Most major manufacturers now have a website and simply entering their name will get you to it.
Once you know the size that you need, make sure you order the right number of lug holes. Some will have four lug holes, others will have five. Ordering the wrong lug configuration will require you to return the items and that is nothing but a headache. If you need to, go out and visually count the lug holes.
While you are counting those lug holes, take a good look at the lug nuts. This would be a great time to go ahead and replace those with some new, shiny ones. Depending on how often you have taken a wrench to the old ones, your current lug nuts may be worn down, and replacing now may save you some hassles later on.
Lastly, remember that while your new golf cart rims must be sized properly, you do not necessarily have to buy the same type or color. Today, you can find golf cart rims in brushed steel, camouflaged patterns, chrome, flat black, etc. You have a lot of design and color options today that you did not have just a few years ago. If you want to add some personality to your vehicle, this might be the right time to do it.
If you have been putting off this purchase because you feel you cannot afford new golf cart rims, go ahead and do some research. You might be amazed at how much the prices have gone down over the last few years. You can find complete sets for around $100 or so, and these are high-quality products, not cheap rip off items. With a little budgeting and some comparison shopping, just about anyone can afford to replace their golf cart rims if they shop via the Internet.
